Your trees are in great hands!

On April 10th 2015, Robert Meir completed his qualification for Tree Risk Assessment from the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). We congratulate Robert for his achievement and we’re here to explain what all of this means for you, our dear readers and clients. So, let’s see what the Tree Risk Assessment is all about.

 What is it?

The Tree Risk Assessment is a designated course and evaluation in which the ISA tests the individual in their ability to assess the risk of a tree’s failure potential. This includes being able to accurately see whether or not the tree is rotting or experiencing another kind of issue that may lead to its failure. Properly assessing tree failure is essential for figuring out the best way to assure a tree’s longevity. Once the individual has learned to asses, they also learn to report and grade the types of failure so that they can accurately and easily explain their findings to homeowners or risk managers.

Why is it important?

Knowing the probability of a tree’s potential for failure is going to help you, the client, understand the gravity of your situation. If you have a problematic tree, then you might need to properly assess the risks you are in so that you can minimize any potential damage to your home, other trees, or other structures in the area.
